Spectrum Policy and Planning Introduction

The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA) oversees the use ofradio frequencies in Finland. The objective is to offer interference less radio frequencies to allusers. The authority aims to achieve technical and economical benefits from the spectrum .

There has been frequency re-development in Finland.

Legislation
It uses Radio act (1015/2001) for the management of spectrum. For more information please

A degree of ministry is used as legislation for the update and revision of licensing fees.

Radio Frequency Register
Radio links, satellite earth stations, amateur radio station, maritime radio transmitter are the radio equipment which should be licensed, whereas GSM, UMTS radio stations, PR27 and LA telephones, cordless telephones, satellite telephones, WLAN/RLAN equipment operating 2,4 GHZ and 5GHZ band, Telecomm equipment operating on collective frequencies and equipment for detecting ovement and equipment for alert are license exempted.
